Decoration NoteDifferent styles of initials were used for the first and second volume. Mistakes involving the minor initials were signaled by a hand writing in brown ink. Some of them are unfinished, and other were never installed.
First volume:
Combination of more complex initials and alternating red and blue lombards. The decorations consist of floral patterns; pen flourishes in green, blue and red sprouting from the letter, extending to full length of page. The parted initials display different colour combinations (red and green; blue, red and white; blue and white).
A total of seven major initials are used in the first part, located on ff.:
f. 26r: Parted initial "D" of "Deus est substantia" (12 lines). Ornamental letter in green with a red outline and white floral patterns. Unfinished.
f. 48r: Reserved space
