Anmerkung zur AusgestaltungDifferent styles of initials were used for the first and second volume. Mistakes involving the minor initials were signaled by a hand writing in brown ink. Some of them are unfinished, and other were never installed.

First volume:
Combination of more complex initials and alternating red and blue lombards. The decorations consist of floral patterns; pen flourishes in green, blue and red sprouting from the letter, extending to full length of page. The parted initials display different colour combinations (red and green; blue, red and white; blue and white).

A total of seven major initials are used in the first part, located on ff.:
f. 26r: Parted initial "D" of "Deus est substantia" (12 lines). Ornamental letter in green with a red outline and white floral patterns. Unfinished.
f. 48r: Reserved space
f. 67r: Parted initial "A" of "Anno captiuitatis" (8 lines). Initial in green and white. Additional motifs in red surround the letter. Pen flourishes in red extend to full length of page.
f. 82r: Parted initial "A" of "Anno igitur ochi" (9 lines). Painted in blue green and red, including white floral patterns. Pen flourishes in green extend all the way down and create an “L” shaped frame.
f. 92v: Parted initial "I" of "Igitur Alexandro mortuo" (11 lines). Initial in blue with white floral patterns.
f. 109r: Parted initial "R" of "Regnus latinorum ut aiunt" (9 lines). Painted in red and blue with details in white.
f. 131r: Parted initial "M" of "Mortuo igitur augusto" (9 lines). Ornamental letter in red and green with white floral patterns and stylized pen flourishes/vegetation in green extending down the page and in the lower margin.)

Second volume: red Lombards throughout and major initials in red with white details.
