The original leather blind-tooled dark brown calf binding with paper boards has been repaired with cloth added on spine and a parchment piece (from a manucsript of Johannnes Chrysostomus) has been used in the front pastedown.

The inscription reads: "Απήρε των τήδε ο εν μακαρία τη λήξει γενόμενος μακάριος παλαιολόγος ο προηγούμενος θανάτω φυσικώ, πολύ βασανισθείς εν παραλυσία επί κραββάτου. ου το πνεύμα εν ταις των αγίων αυλαίς τάξαι ο Κύριος Αμήν".
