bindingNoteBound in in Cracow in the 15th c. in the workshop called in Polish "Warsztat 19 dla Jana Sommerfelda" (EDB w003095 - see link below). The tools used also in the "Workshop of Master of the Almanac for Frederick Jagiellon" (warsztat "Mistrza Almanachu dla Fryderyka Jagiellończyka"). There are some books known which were bound identically, e.g. id00223000 (University Library in Poznań). Brown leather over wooden boards. Both covers tooled in blind - double frames made with fillets, a central rectangular compartment filled with a pomegranate fruit motif (identical motifs tooled on the spine), the inner frame tooled with a floral motif, the outer frame filled with whirling rosette stamps (27 mm). Rests of gothic clasps, edges coloured in yellow and sprinkled (in blue?). Titling tooled in blind on the left cover and written on the tail edge. Visible manuscript waste on parchment (probably from the 14th c.).
