NoteBarksdale's name is inscribed onto the first leaf of the text block: "Aulæ Glocestrensis Clemens Barksdale". He graduated BA 1629 from Gloucester Hall (now Worcester College) and gave the book to the college library. This is mentioned in the c. 1629 inventory.
