The manuscript notes in Greek are extensive but confined in a section of this copy (quires d[delta]-e[epsilon], see below): only a provenance note is found elsewhere (at the end of quire c[gamma]); given that the book has been rebound between the late 18th and the early 19th century, there is no certainty that this copy belonged to the early owners as it is now.
Physical DescriptionAnother copy, wanting Theocritus. Bound thus: [delta]d, [epsilon]e, [alpha]a-[gamma]c, AAaa-ZZzz. Quires dd, ee (Works and Days) have copious ms notes by Demetrius Chalcondylas. On [gamma]c 10b is written: Antonij Seripandi ex Iani Parrhasij testamento. With the armorial bookplate of - Smith. [ms addition to BMC record] Mattei Cillari. Bought in January, 1855 (BMC).

Manuscript notesIn red and brown ink apparently by the same early hand that has been said the one of Chalcondyles; they are found only on quire d[delta]-e[epsilon]. The lower margin of f. d[delta]7v-8r have been filled with several drawings representing agricultural works and tool (various tools together with their Greek names; a man working with two oxes etc. Very peculiar pointing hands, with a long finger.

On e[epsilon]6v there are the only notes in Latin: 'Flumina sacra Aque sacre' and a couple of references to Erasmus' work:'vide Erasmum f. 66 cap. 526 cap. 527' and ' ... f. 65 cap. 525'. Humanistic and calligraphic hanwriting.
