Other InformationAlthough his birth date is widely recorded as 1486, his brother Girolamo recorded in his diary that at his death on 4 November 1531, he was 45 years, 11 months, and 15 days old, and would thus have been born in late November 1485 (see Alfredo Marranzini, Il cardinale Girolamo Seripando, 1994, p. 19). The birth date of 1476 recorded in some sources seems by the same evidence clearly wrong. -- He inherited the library of Aulo Giano Parrasio; his books in turn were bequeathed to his brother Girolamo.
