Woodcut initials and six full-page illustrations of Triumphs with decorated borders in Part I. The illustrations are copied from a set of anonymous Florentine engravings.

Space left blank for initials, some with printed guide letter.

Old shelfmark 'A t̲t̲ A ị ị' in brown ink in upper right corner and priced [?] 'r/n Jt.' in black ink in upper left corner of lower pastedown. Auchincruive Library bookplate, with shelfmark 'D.1.1', crossed away and substituted with 'R.6.' in pencil, on upper pastedown. Auchincruive Library sale following the death of Richard Alexander Oswald in 1921, Sotheby's, 1 May 1922, lot 794. Priced 'y/ye/1490' in pencil on upper pastedown. Bought of G. David on 6 May 1922.

Notes manuscritesMarginal manuscript nota signs, small crude drawings on leaves a1 recto, o7 verso and F6 recto, and notes in Italic hand, passim, in the hand of 'Maddalena orsij', Italy, early 17th century. Notes relating to public fustigations and abjuration in Parma in the years 1584-1588, and to the deaths of Duke Ottavio Farnese (18 September 1586), and the bishops of Parma, Papirio Picedi (4 March 1614) and Alessandro Rossi (24 March 1615), in cursive hand by two different individuals, the second possibly Maddalena Orsi, on leaves N3 verso, N4 verso and N5 verso, Italy, Parma [?], 1584-1588 and 1614-1615.
