Notes Place, printer and date taken from F. de Marez Oyens's description in the 1998 Christie's catalogue. Attributed to Damianus de Moyllis in Parma by L. Donati in La Bibliofilia 56 (1954) pp. 181-215. Piero Scapecchi, in La Bibliofilia 103 (2001) pp.1-24 has attributed the printing to Ulricus Pursmid for Paulus Moerich on the basis of a contract which could equally have been for the production of woodblocks or terracotta tablets (cf. P. Needham, in P. Parshall (ed.), The woodcut in fifteenth-century Europe (Washington D.C., 2009) pp.39-92, p.70). – Italian version of the Leiden Christi. – Devotional meditations on the Passion of Christ, with metal engravings in the manière criblée (Goff)
