VD Zürich

The VD Zürich database is a digital bibliography listing all items produced by letterpress printing in Zurich between 1479 to and 1830. It currently contains all printed works a typographic broadsheets up to 1540. The listings for the centuries following this are continually updated. The individual descriptions conform to the international RDA standard and using the German language Integrated Authority File (GND). At the same time, VD Zürich functions as a catalogue listing all copies of those resources held by the Zentralbibliothek Zürich and other institutions as well as links to digital reproductions where available. The database is designed and hosted by the Zentralbibliothek Zürich.
