      text: 'Der Gerichtsvorsteher / Notar Nicostratus wurde der Legende nach zusammen mit Castorius, Claudius und Symphorianus in der Verfolgung unter Kaiser Diokletian gemartert. Die aus dem Wasser gezogenen Leichname sollen in Rom in den Katakomben von Marcellinus und Petrus an der Via Labicana bestattet und von da im 5. Jh. in die ihnen geweihte Basilika "Santi Quattro Coronati" auf dem Mons Caelius überführt worden sein. Ihre Existenz als tatsächliche Märtyrer in Rom scheint nach den maßgeblichen Forschungen gesichert, ihr Fest ist in Rom schon 354 für den 8. November verbürgt.'
