      text: "compì gli studi a Milano e a Venezia nel Monastero Benedettino di S. Giorgio Maggiore, nel 1714 fece professione nel Monastero di Pontida (BG) dove divenne abate nel 1747; soggiornò anche a Padova presso l'Abbazia di Santa Giustina. Cultore di greco, ebraico, archeologia e varia erudizione si occupò anche di numismatica, studiò in particolare la collezione veneziana Pisani -Correr sulla quale compose un'importante opera di commento, In numismata aerea selectiora maximi moduli e Museo Pisano olim Corrario, fatta stampare presso lo stesso monastero di Pontida dai torchi del tipografo Giovanni Santini tra il 1740 e il 1744 . La parte più consistente della sua biblioteca personale, venduta nel 1841 da un erede al giudice Antonio Mazzetti, appassionato di memorie trentine e raccoglitore di documenti relativi al Concilio, è ora conservata alla Biblioteca comunale di Trento"
