      text: "Nato a Trento il 5 marzo 1784, avviato inizialmente alla carriera ecclesiastica, si laureò in giurisprudenza a Vienna. Esercitò l'avvocatura tra il 1807 ed il 1813, durante il periodo del Regno Italico, e nel 1814 divenne procuratore generale alla corte d'appello di Trento. L'anno seguente fu consigliere del tribunale d'appello di Innsbruck, poi passò al senato lombardo-veneto di Verona, fu presidente del tribunale provinciale di Milano ed infine di quello d'appello della Lombardia nel 1832. Iscritto all'Accademia degli Agiati di Rovereto dal 1825, fu insignito dall'imperatore, di cui fu consigliere dal 1833, della baronia di Roccanova. Scrisse parecchie opere a carattere legale-storico ed alcune poesie. Raccolse molti manoscritti ed opere a stampa riguardanti la storia trentina (circa 11000 volumi a stampa e 7600 manoscritti) che egli stesso donò con disposizione testamentaria alla Biblioteca comunale di Trento. Morì il 21 novembre 1841."
