Philologue et orientaliste. Né à Gênes. Séjourna à Paris de 1518 à 1522, et à Gênes à partir de 1531. Augustin est le nom en religion de Pantaleone Giustiniani, dominicain (à partir de 1488), évêque de Nebbio (Corse ; à partir de 1514). Écrivit aussi en latin.
Ital. Dominikaner; Orientalist; Bischof von Nebbio. PND-Grundbestand.
