Of Isny in Württemberg, Germany. Humanist, physician and botanist.Studied in Paris, 1507, Montpellier, 1512 and Bologna, 1515 where he studied medicine. In 1518 he was city physician in Feldkirch. In 1525 he was called artium et medicinae doctor. In Feldkirch he planted a botanical garden with alpine plants. Corresponded with his brother Michael on botany and classics.
