Buchhändler und Ratsherr in Wittenberg ; Sohn des Stadtkämmerers Henning Schürer, Bruder des Leipziger Buchhändlers Thomas Schürer (1563-1615); geboren in Halberstadt. Nach Buchhandelslehre in Altdorf und Nürnberg 7 Jahre Diener bei Barth. Vogels Erben und Andreas Hoffmann in Wittenberg, dessen Geschäft er 1600 übernahm. 1620 Heirat mit Anna Friese, Tochter von Balthasar Friese. Nach seinem Tod führten die Erben das Geschäft bis 1640 weiter
