geb. te Elsinore (Denemarken); zoon van koopman/kunsthandelsagent voor Denemarken, Isaac Pietersz (1540/45-1615) én jongere broer van graveur/kunstschilder, Pieter Isaacsz (1569-1625); studeerde geneeskunde in 1589 te Franeker én van 1590-1593 filosofie (alsmede filologie en wiskunde) te Leiden (behaalde in 1601 doctoraal geneeskunde te Basel); van 1606-1639: hoogleraar filosofie en wiskunde universiteit van Harderwijk; publiceerde in 1639: "Historiae Gelricae" (ook geschiedschrijver)
