Ce livre de la bibliothèque de Jean de Tournes porte des marques de censure : \"Prohibitus donec expurgetur\" (interdit, jusqu'à ce qu'il soit expurgé) sans doute des Jésuites. De même, Pierre Bullioud a censuré le nom de Forster qu'il qualifie d'impie (impius) au lieu de vénérable (reverendus), et de dissipateur (decoctor) au lieu de savant (doctor), ainsi qu'un passage du texte à propos du sacrifice de la messe. D'autres ouvrages provenant des de Tournes ont été inscrits directement au Collège de la Trinité en 1589."
