5. Barone di Vernon; dantista inglese. Appassionato cultore della letteratura italiana, nutrì un particolare interesse per Dante tanto da dedicargli vari studi in collaborazione con amici italiani. Collezionò una ricca biblioteca di manoscritti e testi a stampa antichi che fu parzialmente venduta nel 1840 a Robert Stayner Helford, la restante fu venduta tra il 1918 e il 1928 in diverse aste di Sotheby's.
