Daguerreotype of Margaret Fuller (1810-1850). Further information from Margaret Fuller: An American Romantic Life (Volume 1) by Charles Capper: The original daguerreotype, which has been lost, dates to July 1846 and was taken by Albert Sands Southworth. It was taken one month before she left the United States for Europe on assignment for the New York Tribune. It is the only known surviving photo of Fuller. A copy was made in the early 1850s by Southworth and Hawes and is held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
