Nato a Parigi, allievo del medico Simone Piètre e medico a sua volta di Luigi XIII e di Luigi XIV; professore del Collegio Reale e decano della Facoltà di medicina dell'Università di Parigi nel 1630-32; autore di alcuni testi biografici su famosi medici parigini, era noto come possessore di una ricca e preziosa biblioteca (L.Jacob, Traicté des plus belles Bibliotheques publiques et particulières, Paris 1644, pt.1 p.546-547; E.Boeuf, La bibliothèque parisienne de Gabriel Naudé en 1630: les lectures ..., Genéve 2007, p.14 nota 52).
