      text: "veneziano, figlio di Alessandro e Antonia Limonti; archeologo, letterato e filologo, cugino di un altro Antonio Maria, artista ed intagliatore (1668-1766), e fratello di quell'Antonio Maria erudito e bibliotecario della Marciana (1716-1778), da cui apprese il greco e cui tentò invano di succedere nell'incarico, perchè superato dall'Abate Morelli. Fu amico di Gaspare Gozzi e A.Calogerà con cui pubblicò le Memorie per servire all'Istoria letteraria, animatore di diverse imprese giornalistiche e socio pensionario dell'Accademia di Padova dal 1779, città dove morì; scrisse diverse opere di erudizione e vinse due premi all'Academie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres di Parigi nel 1766 e nel 1769 per due studi rispettivamente sulle vesti degli Egiziani e sui nomi e gli attributi di Saturno e Rea.
