En 1511-1512, s'associe au libraire Ludwig Hornken, avec qui il travaillera jusqu'à la mort de ce dernier en 1521 et rachète la succession de l'officine de Johannes Ravensberg à Cologne, y compris ses succursales de Paris et Lepzig. À l'automne 1512, transfère à Cologne le siège principal de l'association. En 1514, participe avec L. De 1535 à 1539 au moins, associé à l'imprimeur-libraire de Cologne Eucharius Cervicornus, il est en procès de contestation de privilège, devant le Tribunal impérial de commerce, avec les successeurs de Johann Froben, Hieronymus Froben et Nikolaus I Episcopius. À partir de 1533, exerce diverses fonctions au conseil de ville de Cologne, ainsi que celle de proviseur de l'université.
