D'abord libraire-relieur, relieur de l'Académie d'histoire puis de la Bibliothèque royale, il commence à publier en 1768 puis acquiert en 1771 son propre matériel d'imprimerie. Beau-frère d'Antonio Sanz. Membre actif de la \"Real Compañía de impresores y libreros\" dès 1763, il en devient \"officier\" en 1770. A rédigé plusieurs catalogues. Décédé le 30 nov. 1790. Ses fils et successeurs ont fait paraître plusieurs impressions sous son nom après 1790"
