text: "Autre(s) graphie(s) : Löhneis ; Löhneissen. - Imprimeur. - Issu d'une famille noble du Palatinat passée en Saxe à la fin du XVIe siècle. Maître d'écurie (\"Stallmeister\") et exploitant minier au service du duché de Brunswick, il est autorisé à établir à ses frais une imprimerie privée pour son propre usage et service. En activité d'abord à Remlingen, près de Wolfenbüttel, il exerce à partir de 1617 au plus tard à Zellerfeld, dans le Harz (duché de Brunswick-Lüneburg), puis, tombé en disgrâce, il revient en 1622 ou peu avant à Remlingen, où il décède, en 1624 au plus tard. Ses fils Heinrich Julius et Wolf Ernst von Löhneysen achèvent ses impressions sous son nom en 1624. Également auteur d'un \"Bericht vom Bergwerck...\" (Zellerfeld, 1617) et du traité illustré \"Della cavalleria, das ist Gründlicher und aussführlicher Bericht von allem was zu der... Reuterey gehörig...\" (Remlingen, 1624) publiés sur ses presses"
