      text: "Autre(s) graphies(s) : Belaert ; Beller ; Bellero. - Imprimeur-libraire. - Né à Liège vers 1530 ; fils du libraire liégeois Lucas I Bellère, frère de l'imprimeur-libraire Jean I et du libraire Lucas II Bellère, tous deux établis à Anvers. Reçu maître libraire dans la guilde de Saint-Luc à Anvers en 1574. Dès avant 1562 épouse Johanna, fille de l'imprimeur-libraire anversois Joannes Steelsius. En 1562, représente la veuve et les héritiers Steelsius à Francfort et Bâle. Le 15 juillet 1562, à la suite d'un accord entre sa belle-mère Anna Van Ertborn et Frans Steelsius, beau-fils de celle-ci, il prend la direction de leur officine. En sept. 1568, revenant de la foire de Francfort avec son frère Jean I Bellère, il est arrêté sur le Rhin, puis relaxé. À la mort d'A. Van Ertborn, veuve de J. Steelsius, le 28 mars 1576, il en prend la possession exclusive et publie désormais sous son nom. En 1579 est mentionné avec son frère Jean I dans un rapport adressé à l'empereur Rodolphe II par la commission de la foire de Francfort. Son nom apparaît dans les comptes de l'Officine Plantin jusqu'au 29 janv. 1602, mais il est décédé dès le premier semestre 1600. Sa veuve et ses héritiers lui succèdent. Comme ses frères, il a entretenu des relations privilégiées avec le milieu humaniste"
