Umanista. Nato a Ferrara nel 1486 e morto ivi nel 1556. Figlio di Battista, fratello di Alfonso, insegnò prima retorica e poesia e poi legge presso l'Università di Ferrara. Ricoprì l'incarico di ambasciatore dei duchi Alfonso I e Ercole II.
