          text: 'Portrait of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Archduchess_Maria_Maddalena_of_Austria" class="extiw" title="w:en:Archduchess Maria Maddalena of Austria"><span title="Grand Duchess of Tuscany">Archduchess Maria Maddalena of Austria</span></a> (1589-1631), misidentified with her <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Mother-in-law" class="extiw" title="w:en:Mother-in-law"><span title="female parent-in-law">mother-in-law</span></a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Christina_of_Lorraine" class="extiw" title="w:en:Christina of Lorraine"><span title="Grand Duchess consort of Tuscany">Christina of Lorraine</span></a> (1565-1637).The portrait, painted in 1609 or 1610, depicts Archduchess Maria Maddalena of Austria, wife of Cosimo II de&apos; Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany. The Grand Duchess, aged 20, was pregnant of her first or second child. The painting, with a matching portrait of her husband, was a present to King Philip III of Spain and his wife Margaret of Austria, Maria Maddalena&apos;s older sister. The two paintings are recorded for the first time in 1612 in the Royal Alcázar  of Madrid. In far later inventories and catalogues of the Prado Museum the sitter has been misidentified with Christine of Lorraine, Maria Maddalena&apos;s mother-in-law.'
