of Stockwell, Surr., son of Ralph (MP, clerk in royal household) and Eliz., d. of Henry Langley of Essex, kt. 1501, m. Isabel, da. of Otwell worsley (d.1524), no issue, extensive lands in Surrey, sat on royal commissions for Surrey, d.1523 poss. sheriff for Surrey & Sussex 11509, still 1514 (although 1486 was one of this name, Addington family), an exec. was Richard Broke, king's attorney, with whom he sat on royal commissions. Father Ralph was also servant of bp. of Winchester
