Drukarz, księgarz, rytownik i giser. Działał w Wiedniu w latach 1556-1563. Współpracował z Kasparem Kraftem w r. 1556. Przeniósł się do Debreczyna i prowadził drukarnię od r. 1563 do ca 1565 a następnie do Oradei i do Alba Julia (Gyulafehérvár). Pochodził z Poznania, prawdziwe nazw. Skrzetuski, swoje druki sygnował nazw. Hoffhalter. Sygnet z dewizą: Prospiciente Deo omnia spe florent. Po jego śmierci drukarnię w Alba Julia prowadziła wdowa a następhie syn Rudolf.
