F.R.S in 1819. Sold Chorlton House 1823. Became proprietor of Sedbury Park, Glos., on the peninsula of Beachley, between the Severn and the Wye, 1825. JP for Gloucestershire 1827, Monmouthshire 1830. Deputy lieutenant for Gloucestershire 1861. Died at Sedbury Park 1873.
