Moved to Helmstadt c.1590. M.D., Helmstadt 1596. Professor at Helmstadt, first of mathematics 1591-4, higher mathematics 1594-1603, then of medicine 1596-1607. Dean of Faculty of Philosophy and Pro-Rector of the University 1604. Returned to Aberdeen, 1606/7. Endowed six bursaries and a professorship of mathematics in Marischal Coll. Died Aberdeen, 1613. Bequeathed books and mathematical instruments to Marischal Coll."
