De 1727 à 1730, associé à James I Hoey avec qui il publie deux périodiques : le "Dublin Post-Boy" et le "Dublin Journal", dans lequel il écrit
Imprimeur-libraire. - Emprisonné à Newgate (Londres) en 1736 à la suite de la publication d'un pamphlet satirique. Protestant converti au catholicisme en 1758. Nommé "alderman" (conseiller municipal) de Dublin en 1770. Ami de Jonathan Swift, il publie l'édition annotée de ses œuvres (1772). Dit âgé de 76 ans lors de son décès (août 1775). Sa correspondance a été publiée en 1972 par R. E. Ward sous le titre : "Prince of Dublin printers : the letters of George Faulkner"
