Betrieb die ehemalige Lochnerische Buchhandlung in Nürnberg. Nach seinem Tod musste sein Sohn Konkurs anmelden. Der Landkartenhändler Georg Christoph Franz (1747-1823) erwarb die Handlung aus der Konkursmasse, verkaufte sie aber am 20. Dezember 1820 an Georg Wolfgang Eichhorn. Nach Klärung einiger juristischer Fragen konnte er das Geschäft im Frühjahr 1821 übernehmen. Die Handlung befand sich am Rathausplatz 7.
