S'associe dès lors et jusqu'en 1483 avec son compatriote l'imprimeur Marcus Reinhart, venu de Strasbourg. Le libraire Barthélemy Buyer, dont l'atelier est tenu par Guillaume Le Roy, aurait subventionné leur atelier. En 1480, Nicolaus Philippi dirigera l'atelier de ce dernier, après le départ de G. Le Roy. À partir de 1483 (retour de Marc Reinhart à Strasbourg), il dispose d'un matériel typographique plus réduit. A également travaillé en association avec Jean Dupré en 1485-1486. Jean Trechsel, l'un des ses compagnons imprimeurs, lui succède en 1488 et épouse sa veuve en 1489.3"
