Impresora activa en Aviñón entre 1753 y 1772. Nombre de nacimiento: Marguerite Cappeau. Sucedió a su marido François (-Prothade) Girard, muerto en 1753. Trabajó en asociación con su sobrino Alexandre Couad en 1754, con François-Barthélemy Mérande en 1758, con Jean Aubert en 1768, y sobre todo con su sobrino y socio François Seguin a partir de 1766, a quien legó todos sus bienes.
Nom patronymique : Marguerite Cappeau. Imprimeur-libraire. Succède à son mari François (-Prothade) Girard décédé en déc. 1753. Maintenue imprimeur sa vie durant par arrêt du Conseil du roi de France pris en 1769 pour Avignon. Dite âgée de près de 80 ans lors de son décès (juillet 1772); lègue tous ses biens à son petit-neveu et associé François Seguin.
