Georg Hantsch, a Danish printer from Sorø, was called to Skåne by the Swedish king in 1659. He was active as printer in Malmö and in Lund for some years and then moved to Stockholm, where he was given the privilege to print all official documents in 1666. He died the 7th of July in 1668, and his widow, Maria Matras, managed the printing house for about a year before she married Niclas Wankijf, who then became the royal privileged printer.
