Nota generale
The printing-house of Lars Kumblin was continued by his widow, Sara Kumblin, who managed it with the help of her next husband, C.G. Cronland, who died in 1802, and a number of different leaseholders until 1805 when the printing-house was wound up. C.G. Cronland was also in charge of the printing-house of the National Debt Office between 1789-1802, but only bank-notes were printed there. Cronland always added his title “controlleuren” in some form to his name when it was used in imprints. Among the consecutive leaseholders were two booksellers, Johan Dahl and Carl Deleen (also one of the most important printers in the early 19th century) and the historian and author G.A. Silfverstolpe, who violated the censorship rules and consequently had to give up the business.
