General Note

Johan Samuel Ekmansson started a printing office in Stockholm in November 1796 with a supply of high quality, imported types, Didot among other things. He carried on his business until March 1799, when he sold it to C. Deleen and J.G. Forsgren. In the beginning of the 19th century he became a zealous assistant to the censor, harassing his former colleagues, Deleen not least.
