General Note
Lorentz Ludwig Grefing, printer and publisher by German extraction, worked as printer in Benjamin Gottlieb Schneider's printing-house and took over the business by marrying Schneider's widow, Rachel Speck, in 1739. Grefing died in April 1769 and Rachel Speck, who died in August the same year, left the printing-house to Peter Momma, who continued the business without using his own name in the imprint.
