Séjournant à Paris pour affaires en janv. 1562, il y reste jusqu'en sept. 1563 après la découverte chez lui d'un texte calviniste. S'installe à Leyde lorsque le conflit religieux menace Anvers. Également auteur d'une importante correspondance, de préfaces, de \"Rimes\" et d'un ouvrage pour enfants"
