      text: "Variante(s) de prénom : Giambattista. - Imprimeur-libraire et papetier. - Succède à son père l'imprimeur-libraire de Bassano Giuseppe I Remondini, en association avec son frère Giovanni Antonio II Remondini. Appelle en 1758 le graveur Jean Volpato (1738-1803) à la direction de l'atelier de gravure. Développe l'entreprise familiale en acquérant une nouvelle papeterie (il en aura jusqu'à quatre), en installant une fonderie de caractères et en ouvrant une imprimerie à Venise (autorisation du 4 sept. 1750). Avare avec son personnel, il est victime en 1767 d'une tentative d'assassinat. Accusé en juin 1772 d'avoir édité une gravure injurieuse pour le roi d'Espagne, il doit fuir en territoire autrichien et n'est reconnu innocent que l'année suivante. Décédé à Pieve Tesino en juillet 1773"
