General Note
Religious order funded in 1131 by the archdeacon of Coimbra; at the beginning of XVI century it joined the monasteries of Regular Canons of St. Agustin of Portugal, under the general prior of monastery of Santa Cruz in Coimbra. In 1573 pope Gregorius XIII joined it up with the Canons of the Lateran. Suppressed in 1834, the order rebuiit in 1979
Ordine fondato nel 1131 dall'arcidiacono di Coimbra, all'inizio del XVI secolo riuniva i monasteri dei Canonici regolari di S. Agostino del Portogallo, guidati dal priore generale del monastero della Santa Croce di Coimbra. nel 1573 Gregorio XIII la affiliò ai Canonici regolari Lateranensi; soppresso nel 1834, l'ordine è stato ristabilito nel 1979.
Ordre fondé en 1131 par l'archidiacre de Coimbra, Dom Tello et Theotonius, premier prieur de l'ordre. La congrégation réunit au début du XVIe siècle les divers monastères de chanoines réguliers de Saint-Augustin du Portugal, sous la présidence du prieur général du monastère de Santa Cruz de Coimbra. En 1573, Grégoire XIII affilie la congrégation à celle des Chanoines du Latran. Supprimé en 1834, l'ordre est officellement rétabli en 1979
