Libraio ed editore, famoso come uno dei maestri nella descrizione e valorizzazione del libro antico. Fondatore dell’omonoma libreria antiquaria, con sede prima a Verona (1886), poi a Venezia (1890) e infine a Firenze (1897).
The firm was divided in 1946 between his sons: Cesare took over the rare books business, Aldo continued to manage the publishing house.
