Scholderer, 'A French bibliophile in Germany', in Huldeboek Pater Dr. Bonaventura Kruitwagen ('s-Gravenhage, 1949) pp. 364-71 (reprinted in Fifty Essays (Amsterdam, 1966, pp.196-201).
The previously unidentified coat of arms, or, a goat sable saliant on a mount of the same, found in a Memmingen incunable (Tartagnus printed in Venice) has been attributed by Sanna to Mitte; if correct, then other incunabula with the same arms can be attributed to him, such as the Gregorius IX now in Cambridge and possibly the Fazio degli Uberti now in Bodley, although this may be later.
