He studied at the Tyrnavos School, with Anastasios Papavasilopoulos as his teacher. In 1705 he became the archdeacon of the diocese of Larissa and in 1715 its protosyncellus of the same metropolis. From 1714 until 1744 (possibly the year he died) he taught at the famous Hellenomouseion / School of Tyrnavos.
