Guillaume (II) De Bure (1734-1820; q.v.) traded from 1774 to 1803 (briefly, 1774-1780, in partnership with his brother François-Jean-Noël), then from 1803 to 1813 with his sons Jean-Jacques (1765-1853) and Marie-Jacques (1767-1847), as De Bure père et fils, and after Guillaume's retirement, as De Bure fre1res. Though the BnF and other authority records give the name as Debure, on the firm's publications, it is always printed in separated form (De Bure or de Bure). The firm's stock was sold in a series of seven auctions, 1835-1840, with the incunabula and manuscripts forming the seventh part, 1840.
