Other InformationBorn in Aarlanderveen, he read Theology at Leiden University in the 1820s. His maint scientific interests were ecclesiastical history, for which he trained himself in Middle Dutch and palaeography. A collection of manuscripts, incunabula and early printed books from monasteries of St. John and St. Mary and the Great or St. Laurens Church in Weesp were found at the St. Laurens Church in 1837 by F.H.G Iterson. Iterson made a catalogue of the manuscripts and a catalogue of the incunables and early printed books. The collection was donated from the Churchwardens of Weesp to the KB in 1847, through mediation of Iterson. See Aanwinstenregister D, p. 88-89 (The Hague, KB, Archives).
