Altre informazioniOf Plymouth, son of Anthony, customs officer. Antiquary and classical scholar, he worked as private tutor and secretary for the dukes of Marlborough. He was a scholar and book-collector. Most of his classical library was donated to King's College, Cambridge, after his death, where some catalogues of his collection are preserved; during his lifetime he donated a number of valuable books to George III (Dennis R.
