Note"Duplum" note is like those used by the Bavarian State Library to deaccession duplicate volumes acquired through the closing of Bavarian monasteries. It is possible that the book had been deposited by Oefele, who had been director of the Hofbibliothek until 1778. It may also have come from the Augustinian monastery at Rottenburg, the institution that purchased Oefele's library from his son in 1785.
